    Hi All,
Heading to Caherlistrane for the bank holiday to escape the rat race and was wondering if there are any walks that would be suitable for a baby buggy in and around the area? Don't mind driving further afield if necessary.

    Thanks

    Hi Dinky

There is Castlehacket Hill, would not go too far with the buggy but depending on the age of the young one the forest is fantastic. Otherwise you could take a stroll down to Lisdonagh House (on the Shrule road, turn left at Quealys) which overlooks the lake and only a 10 min walk from Caherlistrane, also Cong is just down the road! The highly recommended river walk in Milltown which also has a picnic area and playground, very kid friendly. Milltown is about a 15 min drive North on the N17, also some nice food/pubs for lunch. I think Milltown would suit your need best, Apart from the park and river walk there is a 4km golden mile loop walk that is signposted from the park.
    Have a nice holiday!

Hi Tinder, I'd agree that Milltown is lovely. Only thing about it is the walk is very short but it may actually suit the OP:)

It is rather short, but they have extended it a good bit recently with a gravel path that goes nearly all the way up to the old mill ruins, if you just go through the red revolving gate at the end of the tarmac path.
