    Hi,
    Can anybody explain a 'frame of translation'??? And why is there 6 frames of translation for any given nucleotide sequence??

    They're generally called 'reading frames' - this term will give you a lot more web hits. This webpage shows what they are and why there are six of them for each nucleotide sequence.
