Was looking at an october 1980 classic on u.k. plates. Is this now entitled to the E50 rate? as Revenue website says 1981 or older and that vrt is E.720?

I think this is slightly up in the air and the only way is to go along and check it at the Revenue or the NCT , even then it is difficult to get an answer. I believe that even the 50 rate is now replaced as 200.;)

Over 30 years old - VRT category C.

VRT category C is 50 EUR, but goes up 1st May to 200 EUR.

(Nothing that isn't in the charter, should it be read...)

The uncle took his MGB down last week to clear it before the jump, but their 'computers were down' so now it will be next month before it's sorted..and more than likely the extra few quid charged.
