Anyone else notice the amount of expensive withered up dying bay leaf trees left outside pubs and businesses to perish cause no one bothered to water them? The average bay leaf tree costs €60 + and just a two minute watering now and again would sort it out. Now there is a surge of dodgy fake topiary trees springing up all over the place.

Anyone else notice that the poor auld palm trees got annihilated by the bad frost in Sligo this year?

I thought the nicotine from all the cigarette butts people leave in them would have killed them first.

That was country wide every palm tree you see has died except the ones near the coast ....... and probably the pubs used to pay contractors to come and tend to the plants , My local used to have a magnificent window box display but not anymore FU recession FU :(

You'd think trees outside pubs would get plenty of "water" blasts

I see it's finally stopped raining then?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

No bad thing really I think. There's nothing more out of place than a palm tree on these islands, sad stunted, windswept things, they're like some desperate attempt to relive ones hols in spain or something.
