Im just wondering... As far as i know, there wasnt a Biddy in the country who knew what a Venus was upto at least the 90s.

Older posters, what was the earliest time you spotted a bird who hired a gardener? For me, i would estimate 2001

Isnt it weird though - youd imagine that these things dont come up in conversation. Thered hardly be peer pressure involved or anything. Its a complete mystery to me

You mean you saw a woman trimming her bush and you're a very angry man because of it?

Wait, are you angry because they are doing some gardening or because they aren't?

    I'm confused:confused:

Do you have to be drunk to understand what people are talking about on AH or did I miss a memo or lecture?

Funniest thing I saw was my next door neighbour standing on the lead of a Flymo and trying to push it,kept wondering why it wouldn't go forward for about 2 minutes.:pac:

I like the sight of a big hairy muff. One that looks like the girl has Chewbacca's head in a leg lock.

I hate losing my balls in gardens that aren't well kept and so I love women who cut their grass regularly. Then if you are playing cricket or something, as you hold your bat there is no chance of it getting tangled up. After-all, one in the hand .. is worth two in a bush.

I think in light of the OP's OP, we should just discuss gardening. I hate it and love it at the same time.

If your on about gardening, sure the new mowers take most of the work out of it, it's not a heavy job and most women will do it when they are sick waiting for himself to get up of his arse.

If your on about lady gardening, ffs women watch porn too you know.

I'm not happy with my mower at the minute, thinking of buying a ride-on.

It ALWAYS comes up in conversation.

Personally I do feel pressure to keep my garden perfectly mown, but the largest factor is just fashion. I think that if we all started trying to be original and doing weird topiary, lads would just get confused.

I thought the fairer sex specialised, all the 'dainty tasks', shrubs and stuff, secateurs.. snip, snip, ruffle, ruffle.

The husband in the background, march, march, working off the stout..
