07 Avensis Stereo Options

Hi All,

Second time posting here I think. I have a 07 Avensis and the stereo is starting to get a bit "weird", the display is turning off/getting snow/not changing, was searching for a replacement, doesn't look too complicated to change (famous last words I know) but I was thinking I could upgrade the head unit. I've been doing some googling, but a lot of the links are for American sites, I thought someone here might give me some advice on what to get.

Ideally I'd like to get 1 that would be seamless into the dash and could play mp3s, in a perfect world, it could be touch screen with Sat Nav

the kenwood head units sound excellent, use standard garmin maps so are cheap or "free" to upgrade the maps on , easy to fit and the best ipod control software in my opinion on any head unit

You can get a double din adaptor for the avensis,
For a seamless install you'd want the wheel controls to work on the new system and orange illumination.

Many toyota dealers have an av display stand with the toyota double din unit on it, mightn't be any harm ringing round a few dealers with a low offer. They're hideously expensive list price but you never know.
