Its not on the site - I think it was October last year for the most recent run. I assuming roughly the same this year? Anybody here try enter it? Remember what the requirements for entry are in general?

I'm pretty sure it's a "don't call us, we'll call you kinda deal".

Ask them on twitter to be sure though.

It'd be great if they sometime released a DVD of Other Voices. Some big names have played in the church: Ryan Adams, Elbow, The National, Amy Winehouse, Richard Hawley, Jarvis Cocker and many, many more.

To the best of my knowledge, Other Voices isn't a competition. The producers call the shots on who plays. Even the "up-and-coming" acts that they allow to play 2 songs in a shed or in an old shop are usually already reasonably well established, domestically at least.
Yeah, I agree that it would be nice to have a DVD of other voices, even a best-of compilation. RTE are seriously behind the times on this type of stuff. I know there were a few 'Other Voices' CD albums released a few years back but I wanna see the performance as well as hear it.
Also the format of the older series' (where it was more like a full gig from each act featured) was more coherent. The current format is very scatty and 'choppy-changey' and not as coherent as the older format.

Even though there is no DVD, there is a well-stocked archive available to watch on the old webpage :
