Hey folks I had my mind set on a qwerty keyboard phone but after some playing around with one lately iv decided its not for me and im going to return to the dark side, Android.

My previous experience was the Desire HD which is a great phone but it wasnt the phone for me because of a few things like txting, to big and especially the battery

It had great specs so im hoping someone can recommend a phone with more or less the same specs but alot better battery and doesnt weigh down my pants :D

I was thinking of the Samsung Galaxy S but im not sure on it. Can someone really help me out please with some advice on my new phone

Should i wait for a phone to be released like the Galaxy SII etc, im just not sure of it

Might take a punt on the Desire S in that case. Tiny improvement on the original but a little more oomph and its a little lighter and battery is reported to be a bit better too.
Other than that I might wait till the Sensation comes out. However that's more along the lines and size of the Desire HD so might be an issue for you size wise.

I really wouldn't go much further than a HTC as I find the build quality to be great, the modding community is large (compared to Samsung, Sony etc) and I believe they really do the best non stock Android in HTC Sense

I did some investigating and notice the battery is Capacity: 1520 mAh in the sensation compared to the Capacity: 1230 mAh in the Desire HD. Now besides the bigger numbers is that a big increase in battery in the sensation?

Also reading GSM Arena "in the real world the HTC Sensation feels remarkably light - it feels as light (if not slightly lighter than) the regular HTC Desire." Is that good ?

Battery should be better however the drain may be more as the phone has higher specs and thus the more you can do on the phone the more it will drain the battery. However with a dual core processor some reports say its easier on battery drain.

As for weight - I have yet to get a hands on feel but build quality is always good on HTC phones and even though its light it should be sturdy

    HTC Desire HD - 123x68x11.8mm, 164g
    HTC Sensation - 126.1x65.4x11.3mm, 148g

I think i may wait for the Sensation, it looks a big upgrade from the Desire HD
