Lads, the girlfriends laptop isn't charging for her at all anymore. She was saying she tried and even took out the battery and tried to use the mains but still nothing.

Any idea what could be done?

check the connection - could be that the lead for the charger is faulty(loose wire/frayed or something)....or maybe the fuse could be gone in the plug and need replacing.

    How old is the laptop?

Where the charger goes into the laptop is it loose? Connection may have gone.

Or else the hard drive is bucked.

The laptop itself is still turning on just when it was connected it wasn't picked up and only had a few minutes left but was still turned on alright.

Maybe try a different charging lead if you can get a loan of one. If that still wont charge it, it might be a problem with the laptop itself. Any idea how long the guarantee was for on it?
