    Hi guys,

I had a look around the other threads but cannot see this particular topic anywhere. Apologies if it has already been covered, but can an employer call up and gain acess to your FETAC results? I presume they can but just looking for some clarification.

    Thanks :)

I doubt they can, just as I cannot ring the SEC and get (for example) your Leaving Cert. results.
Wouldn't it be covered under Data Protection?

If you supply the employer with a copy of your FETAC qualifications, that's all they should need.

Absolutely not unless the employer paid for the specific course.

You can be asked to validate your results by producing a copy of your results or similar documentation but no respectable educational establishment will provide results to anyone other than the student who obtained those results.

In relation to the comment about leaving cert results, I've heard one or two stories where an employer has rang up schools to verify that the results given are correct.

I would of thought that FETAC would verify if a cert was or was not a fake if they where contacted otherwise what is the point in the certs any one with acess to a printing shop could print them out
