Played in the Castlemartyr qualifier today for the open singles. Was chatting to people in the Final of the Winter qualifier and was amazed to hear that after qualifying for the Final, participants were required to pay again to play in the final.

I have played in a number of such qualifying competitions and have never heard of this happening before. In fact, a lot of clubs invite qualifiers back for free and also provide them with a meal afterwards.

Very poor form out of Castlemartyr if they have to revert to this type of behaviour.
