Unless they were doing some deal when you bought it for free servicing of course youd have to pay for it.

Question that would be more relevant is "Why would you not have to pay for service?"

when i done the deal for the car i asked would he do the first service of free and when i needed tyres would he give them at cost he said YES . this was a gentleman's agrement.

Well book the service through the sales guy in that case. Service probably wouldn't be aware of the agreement.

Doubt there's any such thing as a 'gentleman's agreement' in the motor trade-they would loan you their wife if it clinched a sale:D..you should have got it in writing.

They're not all that bad. I'd be surprised if a main dealer wouldn't come through on that tbh.

Agreed. Contact the salesman and he should sort you out.

Is that not the kind of info you would include with your original question?

The only one who can answer that is the person you made the deal with.

Thats fair enough..ive usually had good dealings with main dealers.

But i reckon if you agreeing to free servicing etc you should put it on paper.
