Summer accommodation in Cork city

    hey all :)
I'm just wondering how easy it would be to rent a room/ house for the summer months in Cork? I will have a job for july/ august but I don't know anyone else moving down for the summer, so will probably need to house share. I'm a third year student.
Would there be many student houses available for the summer?

Ideally I'd like somewhere with reasonable rent.

If anyone has any information or could point me in any directions accommodation wise, I'd be grateful !

In a week or two(or maybe even at the moment) stroll alond the main student house roads and many will have signs up saying rooms available for summer etc etc. Theres also a list on the ucc accom website but i cant find it at the moment. Most rents will be up to half of what the college year price was. For example the house im hopefully moving back into close to the western gate builing is 120 during the college year and only 50 a week during the summer(with free internet). Just have a good look around and you should be able to find a nice house for a good price.

I'd quite like to do this, but I'm lacking a job :pac:, The rental price of grade A houses is brilliant though!

Yeah its handy out. Ill be paying 50 quid a week for a savage house. 4 parking spaces, free internet, 2 bathrooms(both with shower), new kitchen, big bedrooms and a big garden. Landlord only comes down once a month for rent and thats it. Can't ask for much more really :)

I just came across your post! I am currently living half way up St. Patrick's Hill It's just across Patrick's bridge and practically in town, without any noise pollution. At the end of May, my flat mate will be moving out of her double room and I will be left here with my partner in the other double room. The rent per month is €770, but split between three it comes to an average of €256 per month. The apartment is in a beautiful, convenient location. There is free 10MB Speed broadband until August 31st with a 120 GB per month download allowance from UPC.

I would really love if you would consider moving in with us because otherwise, we will have to move elsewhere and would rather not.

Please don't hesitate to contact me on jan1365@hotmail.com for further details if you are interested, and don't mind sharing with a couple!

    John.

The UCC Accommodation Office's housing list for private rentals (i.e. house share rather than student complexes) can be found at:

    http://www.ucc.ie/services/propertyManager/house_search/

No need for you to be a UCC student to use it, especially for summer rentals.

Jeez.... pricey! I pay 80e for a house on Donovans Road with the same amenities. You can DEFINITELY get a better price than that!
