Does anyone know if there is help available in the college for writing assignments? My Mum is a mature student on a Masters course in NUIG and is having difficulty with the academic style of writing. Does anyone know if there is help available in the college for writing assignments?

My Mum is a mature student on a Masters course in NUIG and is having difficulty with the academic style of writing. She can describe it and talk about the topic in detail but has difficulty in putting it down on paper and using the academic style of writing.

Is there any supports in the college that she can avail of or does anyone have any hints or tips?

There is a writing help centre but it may be only available to undergrads. Maybe get yer mom to ring them to see if they'd be of any help. They may be able to redirect her elsewhere or give some leaflets, handouts etc......
