War in the Middle East

So there are a lot of uprisings and revolutions happening at the moment in the middle east, do you think that possibly this could lead to other countries outside of the middle east getting more involved and then clashing with countries supporting the existing regimes, or do you think this will all end in the next year or two and things will simmer down.

I personally think things will simmer down in the next year or two but I understand other peoples points if they believe it could lead to something like a clash between the west and Iran over what happens in Syria if things escalate further there.

I can see Turkey waiting for another distraction in order to make another incursion into Iraq to attack positions in the Kurdish North. As for the rest of the region its anyones guess.

If the West doesn't attack Iran the Saudis will probably try on their own. The Sunni versus Shiite antipathy is worse than anything they have against the West.

I'd imagine the Israelis are loving all the turmoil in Syria at the moment. As long as the regime is dealing with internal problems it has less scope to stir the pot in the lebanon. It actually makes a renewed war in south Lebanon less likely.
