The single most important thing in mixing is the facility to hear what you're at - otherwise , whilst results can be had - it makes things very difficult.

rest your Ears, take Ear breaks....

no point in trying to mix for a full day of 8 hours + as 90% of the time you would change it all again if you listened back next day anyway
