    Hey guys,

Not been on here in a while. Keen golfer but took up surfing last september. Im absolutley hooked and tbh reckon will not touch a club again until im 40 haha. No sport/activity ive done gives me greater pleasure.

Ive got a load of great gear and dont know what to do. Do I keep it or sell it?
Only reason id sell is if in 10 years i go back playing will my gear be so dated with the technology etc or has club technology peaked?

I own titleist 909 driver and fairway wood
    Vokey spin milled wedges
Taylor made tp mb forged irons
Two scotty cameron putters (putters dont date anyway really)

    Advice please and thanks.
    Tom.

    I'd say keep.

Even though you don't have much interest any more, being able to play the game and accept the odd invitation is always a benefit. It might just be a work thing, or a stag weekend, or any of a number of reasons, but in the next few years you may want to accept such an invitation. If you don't have clubs, it's a pain.

Also, second hand gear isn't worth all that much, so the few quid you'd make now probably won't be worth the hassle/expense you'll have to go to to get all new gear when the time comes to play again. At least, if in 5/10/20 years you're thinking of getting back into it you'll have sticks to play a game and see how you like it.

Otherwise, you'll be in a situation where you've no clubs and getting back into the game will invovle a serious outlay.

Not sure why you would give up completely... why not just give up membership and play 3 or 4 times a year paying green fees... at least then you are keeping your ability up and your interest... you probably have a bunch of friends that you were playing with.
You have quite good equipment there so you must have been very keen for a while shame to let it go.... and there is no rule that you have to golf every week or surf every week... you can do both...

I reckon hang on too .. I love surfing now too started on whim last year and ended going surfing every second weekend last summer. I love golf also . Maybe their is something in both the sports that seems to grab our attentions. The fact that both sports are so reliant on nature for the best of it, the steep learning curve.

Il probably miss a few medals this year because of weekends away to the west, but hey both sports have what I find most important .. Getting out and challenging yourself ...

    Keep the clubs OP.

The days when there is little or no wind and the waves are non-existent are also the days that are perfect for golf. You can do both.

If you need the cash sell them, otherwise keep them, it's a no brainer really.

I'd say keep as well but its a shame to leave a scotty lying around gathering dust. What model scotty are they.
