Am planning on doing some solo travelling in Europe in July. Have 10, maybe 12 days that I can go.

I know its not a long time, and I would v much like to see 3 or 4 cities. Thinking Eastern europe as I have already done most the likes of frnace, germany, holland etc.

Has anybody done anything similar? Thinking maybe krakow- budapest -croatia.

How about fly to Helsinki, get the boat to Tallinn in Estonia, then head to Riga in Latvia and finish up in Vilinius in Lithuania. A trip with a difference.

Or start in Stockholm (one of my favourite cities). Get the ferry to Tallinn and then go to Riga and Vilinius.

Beautiful long evenings in all of those places that time of year.

10 days isnt much though. Try stretch it to 14 if you can.

I really liked Brasov (Romania) and Sofia (Bulgaria). Transylvania has lots of nice countryside as well, so you could do something like fly to Sofia, stay a few days, then take a train to Romania and bus around the towns of Transylvania.

3 cities in 10 days could be very nice.

Krakow - Budapest - Zagreb - Dubrovnik could be very nice.
Equally, I've done Talinn - Riga - Stockholm, it's a nice trip in July

Other nice suggestions - Santiago de Compostella - Vigo - Porto - Lisbon in Spain/Portugal would be a lovely coastal trip, Berlin - Prague - Vienna would be some serious culture and partying, or if you really want to see eastern europe, I would definitely recommend Krakow - Lviv - Kiev, especially if you have time to make a detour by Odessa.

Fantastic suggestions about. I'll also throw the Balkan hat in the ring (as I'm here for only one more week and getting nostalgic).

A great trip would be Belgrade - Sarajevo - coast of Montenegro - Kosovo - Macedonia (probably a lot for ten days though but any combination of the above would make for an interesting holiday).

Slightly west of eastern europe but...

Fly into Prague, spend 2 days there. Get the bus to Brno(2 Hours by bus), have a pint with me, then get the bus to Vienna(2 hours by bus), spend a couple of days there. Then cruise the Danube to Bratislav(takes about an hour), spend a couple of days there, then get the bus to Budapest(3 hours by bus). Spend a couple days there and then fly home.

Should be a fairly cheap holiday too.
