Wasn't that long ago he was linked with Liverpool and Villa. Fat chance of him going there now after being part of one of the leakiest defence in the Championship at the age of 26.

Not a chance of him staying at preston far too good a player. He will get move in the summer I would think to lower premier league club.

If he stays his Irish place is cemented.

Wasn't there a move to Celtic lined up or something at the start of last year? Don't like him since his days at Peterborough, not a nice person in those days, but he was young so maybe he's not obnoxious anymore.

Were you playing at Peterborough as well at that time?

No, I had Sky, watched Big Ron Manager in which he didn't cover himself in glory, lived half an hour away from Peterborough, worked with Peterborough Season Ticket holder and met him in passing once.

    Edit:
Oh, and here is what Sean St. Ledger thought of himself back then:

"If I'd been watching myself doing that on television, I'd have thought 'He's a right plonker that guy'.

"There were certain things that went on that people didn't see. It made some people look good, some look bad.

"But I'm not going to deny that some of the things I did were completely wrong."
    Full interview here

So, as I said, he was not a nice individual in my non-playing opinion, but he was young, and may be much nicer now.

Wow he was linked to Villa and Liverpool as little time ago as Nov '10

Anyways,I'd say he'll get a move back to the Championship

Anytime I've seen him for Ireland he's been solid.

He'd be a relatively good signing for a newly promoted side who may be strapped for cash. Admittedly I've not seen a lot of him, but anytime he's played for us he's put in a decent shift
