Weekly Pick Up - DA - Pickup Person

    Hi,

    I am on Disability Allowance and have to go to the UK to take my son for Uni interviews. [had to borrow money for that]

    Myself and wife recently split up, she used to pick up my DA if ever I was ill or in hospital or for any reason could not get my money. [had heart surgery, so she picked it up, PO was always fine, knew she was wife/ [now separated but still married etc]

    I have to have someone pick my payment up for me as one of my sons interviews is on my pickup day. Can my wife [now separated] still pick up my payment and pay into bank for me? Can anyone else? I know if you write a letter and nominate someone and they have ID that is ok. Is there a problem with my separated wife doing so? We are separated not at war!

    Any help would be much appreciated as missus thinks she will get in trouble and without money son and I are stuck in UK and he will miss start of his leaving cert exams.
