Episodes synopsis:

1.01 – Pilot

Meet Chloe King (Skyler Samuels), a seemingly ordinary teenage girl whose life becomes a lot more complicated as she discovers she’s actually one of the Mai, descendants of an ancient, sacred race of warriors who have been in hiding for some time. She has many special powers — including nine lives. Chloe was adopted by her now-gone father and mother Meredith (Amy Pietz), who may know more about Chloe’s past than she’s letting on.

Look for Chloe to become interested in a guy named Brian (Grey Damon) who she meets at her job — but there’s a big catch: if she kisses a human, he’ll either become paralyzed or die. Helping her navigate her newfound life are her best friends Paul (Ki Hong Lee) and Amy (Grace Phipps) and her fellow Mai Alek (Benjamin Stone) and Jasmine (Alyssa Diaz). Guest stars include Jose Brooks, as Xavier; Kiko Ellsworth as a villain known as The Rogue; and David S. Lee as Whitley Rezza.

1.02 – Redemption

Chloe and her mother attend the funeral of Xavier, who Chloe accidentally killed. Using her super-hearing, Chloe overhears Xavier’s parents confront their other son Gabriel, who they incorrectly blame for Xavier’s death. Chloe decides to take down the drug ring that Gabriel is reluctantly working for in order to help Xavier’s family.

Later, Chloe and Brian bond at a cafe.

Guest stars include Kevin McNamara, and Alberto de Diego.

1.03 – Green Star

Chloe meets Valentina, Jasmine’s mother. Valentina believes that Chloe must become better trained so that The Order won’t be able to take her down. She wants Chloe to go into hiding.

Brian asks out Chloe but, knowing that kissing him could mean she’d kill him, she has to avoid accepting.

1.04 – All Apologies

Alek teaches Chloe how to better control her super-hearing. She also discovers she can tell what various people are feeling.

Chloe’s mother Meredith doesn’t understand what Chloe is going through.

1.05 – Girls Night Out

Chloe is at work when she’s surprised by 2 twentysomething women who turn out to be Mai. They seem to be nice, but . . .

Brian is leaving town, and Chloe’s considering a long distance relationship with him. But to save his life from the two women, she tells him they can never be together.

1.06 – Nothing Compares 2 U

Alek is about to kiss a young woman when Chloe interrupts himl it turns out the woman, Mimi (Jess Adams), is Mai. Alek and Mimi met last summer.

Meredith enjoys a date with a guy named Frank.

Chloe joins Brian at a swanky work event. But Chloe’s interrupted by a call from Paul . . . Amy’s in trouble! The problem involves gambling.

1.07 – Dogs Of War

Chloe is upset about what happened with Brian in the previous episode.

We’ll meet Kai, a grungy looking 16 year old who visits the city for the first time. Later, Kai and Chloe head into a dark tunnel, but it’s what’s outside the tunnel that may be a big problem. We’ll also meet Kai’s father and brothers, who have quite different temperaments compared to Kai.

Alek and Jasmine discuss having to lie to Chloe for a good reason.

Pilot episode kicks off tonight for a 10 episode run, be interesting to see how it performs, especially with PLL as it's lead in + in general how the show does, if the ABCF demographic take to it etc.

Poor Kyle XY got axed mid season 3, but maybe Chloe will pull in the (female) punters.

Just finished watching the pilot, i'm not completely sold tbh....it's got some very cheesy dialogue and kinda childish. Imo it needs to firm things up, either make it more adult/dark or it'll be just dismissed as wannabe fluff.

Tbf it had a pretty hardcore fight scene at the end, but her stupid scooby gang turned it into farce, Chloe has WAY to many in her gang, she's got two friends + two fellow cats/Mai....so the bad guy was fighting five on one.

The acting was pretty weak all round, Skyler Samuels has a bit of charm, but she comes across as rather annoying and ditzy. Bit too hyperactive and peppy....it's the pilot hopefully they see the flaws and tweak things.

If not it'll be axed after it's 10 episode run, i'm not sold at all....Switched at Birth is far better, and the ratings reflect that. I'll stick with it for now but if i had to choose right now i'd 100% SAVE Make It Or break It over TNLOCK.

Just saw this so I thought I'd give it a shot after reading comments say that it wasn't too bad. I suppose it wasn't really terrible but I realised that I am completely tired of the superhero/superpowered type shows now. There's so many shows out there in the genre just scrapping average.

I'm calling it now....CANCELLED!, week after week sees ratings drop, this week the lowest yet. we're half way through the ten episode run, it's just not a good show and certain to be axed.

Switched At Birth will 100% be renewed, my hope is they axe Chloe King and renew Make It Or Break It + Switched At Birth.

Right, i think this show is dreadful, on many levels :mad:
It's horribly written, acted and the editing is terrible, the "fight" scenes are a joke, the characters are terrible. I feel bad for Skyler Samuels as she's by far the best but has nothing to work with.

The show is sooooooooo juvenile and sterile, it's the youngest ABCF show i've seen besides Huge, aimed at ten year olds and has content for that. Chloe's friends are pathetic.....i could rant on, but this show is worse then last years Huge and i hated that.

Tbh...i'll be glad when this is gone, based on ratings State Of Georgia will also be axed, but i actually think that show is funnier then Melissa & Joey + i love Joe/Malandra Delfino. If any good comes from TNLOCK demise is i hope MIOBI gets renewed for a third season, i pray so.

Update: Not in the table below, but The Nine Lives Of Chloe King continued its disappointing first season falling to a 0.3 adults 18-49 rating (after a 0.4 the last couple of weeks) and 1.192 million viewer

^ another shiite episode this week, Teen Wolf and Skyler Samuels friend Colton Hayes guest stared....it ddin't help the dreck that is this show. Devoid of any redeaming features, three eps. left and then axed.

Best episode of the season aired Tuesday, ep.8 - what sold it was the terrific interaction of Amy Pietz and Samuels as mother and daughter, it actually had some plot development, some drama....but alas it is all too late, the ratings hit and all time low, at these levels axing is all but a done deal.

One thing did greatly annoy me about the ep. the blatant promotion/infomercial for the Kia Soul car :mad:

WOW!....that was EPIC,!!! ...holy crap that finale left me floored!!!!!!! :eek::eek::eek:

Absolutely amazing finale, jesus....those final 10 mins were twist after shocker after SHOCKER!!!!!

That was without question the BEST episode of the season, multiple shock deaths, betrayals, twists, shockers....jesus, i tell ya, *that* episode made up for the entire poor run of the series, if only the rest of the show was like that.

Absoulte class episode!...i've been hugely critical of TNLOCK over the series [yeah i said series], but i'll give credit where credit is due, that had Wheadon/Nikita level writing in terms of deaths, shocks and twists/huge cliffhanger ending, it was extremely well written and executed and well edited. If the show had been this dark from the outset it might have faired better, it was utter dross for the first 6 eps. but then picked things up, the problem was it was too light and fluffy, to afraid to "go there", where the finale certainly did.

Honestly i'd hate to see the show axed after that finale, it would sting just like the mid season axing of Kyle XY....even a two parter just to end the show would be OK, but i think the show is toast and it'll be cancelled and never resolved.

ABCF have decide to release the script for the tv movie that never got made....but at least we can read how it all ends, its something for the fans.

Best thing would be to get the cast at Comincon and have them do the script read.
