I'm a college dropout ( leaving after first yr ) I'm going to get a form from the college saying that i'm leaving and that I will no longer be recieving the maintence grant. How long will it take for me to recieve dole? and will it be backdated ?:o

Waiting times vary from office to office, yes it will be backdated to the date you apply for social welfare.

could be months before you get the dole, if you get the dole. depends on a lot of factors. how old are you where do you live, if you live at home and your under 25, then what income have your parents got, are you living with someone, what does he/she do, are you looking for work, what kind of jobs have you applied for etc. etc. what do you mean backdated? backdated to when?
