I'd put that down to being a TD for 30 odd years. Nice handy job, well paid so he's never had to worry about paying the ESB or gas bill or putting food on the table, he's certainly never had to do a hard days work. Well for some....

Obviously building a political party back up from near ruin to win a general election is so very relaxing and the key to looking youthful ... [/sarcasm]

Mickey Mouse could have ran for election this year it was simply evident that people wanted change. Ironically enough I think Mickey mouse is what we got!!

    It would be actually.

As opposition leader, the pressure was off. He could simply argue with FF that black was black and white was white (they have the same policies after all).

In the run-up to the elections, FF made it easy for him. He just had to hold a banner up saying "vote tweedle dee #1" and all the idiots of the land voted for him.

And now he's in power, he's still able to blame FF. I know any jobs I've worked in, if I blamed all the problems on the person who left the job I'd be told, "look, we're paying YOU, nevermind about the person you replaced"

Even when Lenihan admits "yea, my party and I sold the country out to the ECB" Enda Kenny says "prove it". He has his head in the sand.

He's a smug little sh*t and an absolute embarrassment.

I think it is silly to think that leading any major political party is easier than having a regular 9-5 job. Regardless of what you think of him as Taoiseach, suggesting that he cruised his way into the job seems a bit unrealistic.

Nevertheless, I expect him to start looking a lot older as the next few years go by.

He is doing a decent job in these circumstances IMO.

Calling him an embarassment is a bit much, turning up for a radio interview drunk would be embarrassing.
