Brand new netbook - battery draining

    Hiya,
I got a netbook three days ago (Acer d255) and it has a 3-cell battery.
Now i don't expect too much from the battery (4 hours was the average according from what I've read) However mine is lucky to last an hour or so, with the battery saver mode on and the screen down the dimmest it can etc.
I charged it up fully the first day and have had to charge it several times since, and it seems to be taking forever to charge. Currently charging it and the battery has only moved 10% in the past half hour - it was far quicker on the very first charge, it went from 20% to 100% in about an hour.
I was using the netbook today and it said there was an hour and a half left, and within about a half hour it was down to under 20 mins left.

I was just wondering if it would be a faulty netbook/battery and if I should be going into argos on tuesday and attempting to get a refund/replacement.

I doubt this would be a cause, but I'm using a meteor usb dongle (which I didnt use the first day) is it possible this would be the cause of the horrific battery drain?

    Thanks for any help :)
