Ok.. To cut a long story short.Air con in car not working.. specialist replaced clutch (Cost be 250 euro) and then the pulley.Air con worked a dream for about 2 weeks and then stopped.

Brought it back to him again and he said that it is almost out of gas and the pulley needs replacen=ment again..

    What rights have I got
I would expect him to replace this pulley again at no charge !!!!

    any views welcome...

If it's the same pulley that's failed then of course you should expect him to put it right free of charge assuming he sourced the pulley which failed or he incorrectly fitted the pulley (regardless of who supplied it). If you sourced a dud pulley yourself then hard luck, you'd have to cover the entire cost of replacing it unless you two come to an arrangement.

Sounds like you've got bigger issues.

Assuming he regased the system when he put the new clutch and pulley in you've a leak. Getting a new pulley won't fix it. You can get him to replace the pulley for free, but if I'm right and I hope I'm not, he's going to need to replace more stuff which will cost you.

Not directly aimed at you, but people don't realise that air con needs to be used at least weekly to maintain the seals. If you only use it for a week in the summer then it will fail and it can be very expensive to fix.
