No Bookies are open in Ireland due to the law.
You'd have to go to the racecourse or ring/Inet any bets today.
"Bet" they're delighted with the Celtic match and a good card at Fairyhouse on today.

They only close 3 days of the year, what more do you want? :D

I reckons it's a matter of time before they change it though.

They really should. It's like no drinking on Good Friday. We're not 19th century Ireland anymore, where the church dictates everything we do. Why should we be governed by some law that was applicable the guts of 100 years ago but in all fairness, who really cares about it now? Probably about 10% of the population, mostly the elderly I'd imagine.

I was quite shocked when I saw pubs over here open for business on Good Friday. Needless to say we got sh!tfaced.
