    hi, i have a singer sewing machine that i recovered from an old building being destroyed.Its in pretty could shape but i want to get it restored.Does anyone now where i could get this done in the waterford,wexfod or kilkenny area

    Are you sure it's worth restoring? Singer sewing machines were manufactured at a time when machines were built to last with minimum maintenance, another example is mechanical typewriters. There are literally thousands of old sewing machines sitting on high shelves along with other bric-a-brac in olde worlde pubs.

    You could spend hundreds restoring it only to discover that there's so many of them still around in reasonably good order that your one is worth sod all.
