How to deal with stress?

I have recently started a new job and its my first job since finishing college. Before I even had the interview I really wanted the job as it gave me excellent training and it was with a massive company so it looks great on my CV. But I even though I have pretty much no responsibility and very little is expected of me I am putting myself under unnecessary stress.

Since day one I have been doubting my ability to do the job but once I feel like I might be getting to grips with stuff it steps up a level. I have seriously considered leaving and getting a much less challenging job and maybe later going into this role but then I realised that I would be stupid to so.

They (the company) are trying to get me up to a certain standard by making me do projects, and presentations before I actually really start working on live stuff but I am worried that I wont be able to do these projects.

There is a lot of stuff I find pretty boring about the job as well such as the business side (capital markets stuff)

I have also moved for this job (UK) which adds to it as well as being frustrating as a lot of my mates from college are all living and working in Dublin.

Worryingly I have started to get some twinge in my eyelid (getting it seen to the week after next) but I think its stress related.

This career would make me a lot of money and after 3-5 years experience my salary would nearly double and the other careers I would consider would be even more stressful such as medicine and to a lesser consent the guards.

So what I am asking how can I deal better with the stress of this job and stop putting myself under so much pressure as its doing me good like one week I couldnt even sleep because I was worrying the job.

Stress is probably one of the more underrated conditions by people.

    1) Exercise

I dont how how physically active you are but from personal experience nothing kills stress like proper exericse. I know it might sound silly but whatever you are doing at the moment isnt working so take up something new (running, cycled or some team sport).

    2) Sources of stress

Work is a major one but there can be other sources which you havent considered. Have a sit down and think and go through everything in your life and figure out what you can cut back on which is causing you stress.

    3)You time

Apart from everything else you need to have time to yourself. Free from work and other commitments. Find stuff you want to do and go do it.

    Good luck.
