I'm seriously not trying to be funny with ya but the 1st yr undenominated science papers are virtually the same year in/year out.........

There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't pass the August repeats if you put some serious work in from now until then. Honest to God, if you can't pass the repeats working from now till then I'd imagine you are gonna be in deeper trouble next year.....

    What subjects are you doing??:)

The answer to your question is about 7,000 euro or there abouts.......You definitely don't want to be paying that out for the sake of not putting in a bit of work :)

im in second year, and the only thing im worried about is physics i think i'll pass 2/4 modules, it could hardly cost that much, i'll pass my other two subjects its just half of physics i'll have trouble with

They rationalised the repeat fees a few years ago so everyone pays €1600. Just get started with the study early and you shouldn't need to repeat anyway. There's loads of time.

i'm in 2nd physics as well...how have you done in the labs and mastering physics homework? i'm not sure do you need to pass all the individual modules to pass physics or just have an average overall. if you send an email off to one of the lecturers (preferably Gary, i always found him approachable), they might be able to tell you about that.
you could always look into grinds for the repeats, there's postgrads still in galway over summer that could help you

yeah 1600e is the repeat, but then consider, rent money, food money, bills etc and it would b closer to 7g to repeat. plus u cant receive the grant either

Like fluffy said, just put in the work,

a repeated year will destroy any prospective employer's opinion of your C.V./ application immediately!

Didn't do physics but first year everything else in science is more or less Leaving cert plus about a new 10-15% of material. You got in to college, no excuse for failing it, especially a second time around.
