How often do teachers move up the Common Basic Scale? I can see the scale on the INTO website but no info on when you move up or how often...

    Many thanks! :)

On an annual basis. If you are a sub teacher you have to have worked up a certain number of hours over the academic year to move up. So if you start a job in September you should move to the next increment the following Sept/Oct

There are points on the scale where you stay for a few years once you reach them, if you have another look at the scale you'll see where.

Ya they are on the upper half of the scale, you still move up a point on the scale but there is no change in the increment
