Penalty point statistics

I've been looking at the statistics on penalty points provided through the RSA's website (here: http://www.rsa.ie/en/RSA/Road-Safety/Our-Research/Penalty-Point-Statistics/).

I find it interesting being able to break down the points across offence type, county, month, number of points etc.

However it got me thinking, why can't I break it down by age group and the sex of the driver? Surely this information is at hand in some database or another, and can be linked to the unique drivers licence number?

What I think would be interesting is if the total number of drivers in a given age range and for a given sex was available and then divided by points for all or a type of offence committed we would be able to see truly representative statistics which take into account the number of drivers in an age or sex range. Does anyone know if this information is in the pipeline for availability or maybe it is already and I don't know where?

    Thanks.
