Med1 refund - how long does it take?

    Just pulling together my receipts for a lot of medical expenses over 2008-9 an will submit early next week. Have 2 folders full of receipts!

    Does anyone know how long it takes before the claim is paid?

    I got mine in less than a week. Applied online and it was transferred to my bank account. They are very efficient.

    How can you apply online?
    Thought you had to complete and send in Med1 form???

    You need to register for online system http://www.revenue.ie/en/online/paye-anytime.html

    If you're not already registered you'll probably be quicker to send of the form by post as they have to send you out a pin to use online. But it's well worth doing for the future.
