Short version: A few bother, most don't due to other genuine reason and honestly, some couldn't be arsed - at least till its too late and then they moan about "why don't folk do something!"

The sad part is that we have a good rep abroad for being good hard workers - yet we can be so complacent and lazy about working to make 'changes'!

I am more of a "whats the worst thing that will happen if I don't do it at all?" type of bloke.

Thats because the good hard workers all moved abroad to find work. I heard Poland is also a very laid back country. Most immigrants also fear of judgment and want to make a good impression.

True. I know that applies here by some new residents.
They (and fair play to them) are trying to improve their home country persons image.
Its understandable and to a certain extent, is a matter of pride.
