I have a 05 525d with 71000 miles on clock. Was driving along today and when i put foot down in 2nd gear it took about 3-4 secs before the power kicked in which is alot longer than normal. It happened all through the gears up to 5th.

Drove again this evening and she seemed fine again.Does anyone think this is a sign of something about to go wrong with maybe the turbo?

Have had a couple of e60 diesels and never had a problem like that - it does sound like a turbo problem tho

May not be too bad though, could be the likes of a control flap or the wastegate linkage being sloppy for whatever reason or something else not too bad. Needs to be inspected though and I wouldn't be driving it until it is checked out.
