Summer Track Races

    Thought might be an idea to try and compile a list of track races in the summer for people to see that there more than just road races available

    Here is a list of the Dublin Graded meets open to all AAI affiliated runners:

    Irish Life and Permanent 3k Irishtown Stadium 10/08/2011

    Been thinking of doing some of these actually. I'm doing ok over short distances at the moment. It's when I get to 3k I start to struggle.

    Wicklow track and feild county championships, 8th and 9th of May in Shoreline, Greystones. As far as I know its opened to guests from outside the county also.

    BHAA also have the the Trinity track night on grass on Weds June 16th.

    Meath Athletics Board are hosting an invitational Junior, Senior and Masters Steeplechase on Sunday 8th May 2011 at 10.45am in Claremont Stadium, Navan over 1,500m. This event is in conjunction with the Meath T&F Championships 2011.

    Open to AAI registered athletes. PM me for info or invite.

    What's the story with these? Can anyone just rock up and get their effort timed?

    Thinking of joining Sportsworld myself but I don't know if they are AAI affiliated.

    Yes, though as said I think you need to be connected to an AAI club - Sportsworld most certainly are affiliated.
