iPhone Stolen, questions for a new one

    Hello,

My iPhone was stolen last weekend. No insurance. Was on Vodafone pay as you go. Pretty much sucks.

However I can't bring myself to buy a new one for 579 euros again (i only spend 20 euro a month on credit).

I've found a seller for an iPhone 4 for 430 that is on the vodafone network.

Will I have problems syncing this new phone to my iTunes account? Will I still have the apps that I paid for on my account? How will I get my number on this new phone??

    Please help :)

Firstly if you have not done so already get a replacement sim from vodafone.
They should be able to hook up the new sim to your old number.
Put the sim into the phone and connect it to itunes.
    Click on restore in itunes.
This will restore the factory settings and wipe the phone.
If you have your 'stolen' phone sync'd with itunes re-sync and all your music/apps should sync onto the 'new' phone.

Ring apple/ vf get the iPhone blocked. I take it you didnt have mobile.me set up:confused:

When you log into iTunes via the new iPhone go and buy the apps you had on the stolen phone, a message will pop" up you have already purchased this item do you want to buy it again" hit yes you will not be charged twice for the same item.

If you had your phone backed up via iTunes on the pc/ mac just plug the new iPhone in hit restore from back up of the last time you synced your apps photos etc it should come back up if you backed up the phone recently.

Apple won't be able to do anything about getting the phone blocked from the network, you only need to call your carrier.
