Working on my 1st song, poped it onto soundcloud only recorded it half an hour ago. This songwriting / singing / playing guitar is all new to me after playing drums all my days so looking for a few pointers. Trying to work the song around those 3 chords you hear at the end, not sure if it works?

This song will be played by a full band, but its just me and guitar here, I came away from the mic at the end so its hard to make out.

I took it down as it was only an idea at the time. It's moving onto a full song now. I put down a quick take this eve, me and guitar and click track for our drummer to give him a guide track when recording drums.

I would be very interested in hearing how this develops. It has a lot of potential. Very nice guitar playing.

Working on another idea, recorded some of it this eve, no words yet. Not sure if its right musically, from D minor I'm ringing the neck off a mix of major and minor chords in half steps all the way down to F major, then I add a few more to get me back to D minor. Its a bit repetitive but that'll change with some singing.

Can someone throw their ears over it and point out any places that might sound out chord wise, sounds alright to me but just to be sure. Sound.

Here is where it's at now http://snd.sc/p9vaiJ a guide for the band recorded at home, no vocals I hoping to have them done by next week. Dont mind the solo, just some experimenting with the quick solo run through I recorded before doing the full guitar take. I added it in sounds like delay.
