Hi, I'm just looking for some feedback on

our site(paperfreeproject.com). If you can see any way to improve it, or have any suggestions that would be great. I'm aware that some of the video content isn't up to scratch, and some of the sections need a little padding out, but we are improving.

Let me know what you think(be brutal).

    Thanks!

    Hey,
    Overall the site looks decent, here're a few thoughts;

    1. The logo could be better. It looks quite outdated, for something under this subject matter you should look at contemporary design trends and follow suit, to appeal more to your audience.

    2. You need a favicon

    3. You could do with a slogan or one sentence summary of what the project is about. My first thought was that the PaperFreeProject is something about improving the eco impact of offices or something like that. You've got a lot of room in the header for this.

    4. On the video titles you should include info about the interviewee, even just their title. eg "Cianos, Director of blah blah blah". Just including their name doesn't mean much for someone who doesn't know what the person does...but including their title or position will garner more interest.

    5. You need to go over your body text again. It could do with a proof read. "The Paper Free Project is a project...", for example. I'd also begin this section with a prominent heading such as "What is the Paper Free Project?" and break it down further with other headings so it appears more legible.

    6. Put some photographs on the About Us page and include more info, such as your particular area of interests...it shouldn't read like a Facebook profile.

    7. To someone less aware, it's not apparent that you're based in Ireland and focusing on the Irish industry in particular, you should make this more clear.

Hope some of the above helps.

    Hi Cianos,

Cheers for the detailed, and speedy, response. It's really appreciated. I agree with most of what you have said. Definitely on points 2 through 7 (I quite like the logo, but that's really a matter of personal tastes). The about us page is really poor at the moment. We were putting the onus on the main content pages first.

Some of the body text on the site is a little bit clunky, and I will be going over it, although I am not much of a writer. The structure could definitely be improved with some sub-headings.

Anyway, it's great that you took the time to look over our site and respond. A lot of the issues you raised are quite obvious now. I will get to fixing them, and repost.

    Thanks again,
    Eoghan

Thanks Fanny Cradock(if that is your real name).
To be honest it has been slightly altered since Cianos left feedback. I think it can be improved a little bit more. Busy collecting the content at the moment, but we will go back to it.

Flattered to see some of the changes I suggested implemented in to the site :) It's definitely starting to take shape, keep up the good work. Just followed you on Twitter too.

Hey, good advice deserves to be listened to. I think it's important that we constantly try to adapt, and improve as we go. We've been busy with gathering content (a couple of interviews today, and a lecture on usability yesterday) but expect the site to be further transformed over the next couple weeks.

Oh, and thanks for the follow on twitter. We're not exactly prolific tweeters, but I think we're getting there.
