Photographs of JFK driving on Lower Salthill Galway

    I am trying to find images of JFK motorcade driving along Lower Salthill, Galway, particularly anything taken from around Wards Pub/ Nile Lodge area.
    I figure there must have been a good few photos taken on the day.
    Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Its a sick joke to be honest its a picture of JFK after being shot in Dallas and just put on a picture of the office, not very funny :mad::mad:

    That is the old Galway Bay hotel on the right and on the left is where the nursing home is now opposite the Warwick, he was heading for the car park at Salthill where he boarded his helicopter for Shannon Airport.

    There was a photo exhibition dealing with JFKs visit to Galway in the city museum not so long ago (iirc), don't know if its still there. Even if not they may still be able to tell you who holds the best records though.

    Just had a brainbump.
    Kennedys pub on Eyre Sq has loads of pics and newspaper clips of JFK.
    Im in there a lot but Ive never really looked at them but I presume some of them must be of the Galway visit.
