I found that 4/5 people who I used to think were assholes and wasters ended up being nice guys and went on to do pretty well. I'm better friends with more people now than I was when we were in school together.

The people who are sheltered from alcohol until 18/19 and then start usually turn into the biggest drunkards goin for a year or three.. I'd almost say it's fact from seeing it so often.

A lot of people get a bit of sense once they go to college.

some I still see and can chat away to on nights out, others seem to think they're still 16 and in school, calling each other by their last names (what adults do this?) and reminscing about stupid sh1t that happened over 10 years ago

I don't speak to anyone from my old class. I do know one of the lads I used to sit beside on a regular basis is now in prison on an indictable offence though.

No, oddly enough they all stayed exactly the same. Haven't aged a day and still live at home with their parents in perpetual summer holidays. Is that normal, or should I call the twilight zone police?

Went to a reunion there a while back. I won't mention which as it's practically embarassing. Anyway, some of the quieter people had really blossomed in the meantime - was really impressed by how confident and successful some of them were.

The usual tools were still unchanged tho!

not really, i still see most of them, sweeping up my butts in the smoking area , pouring me drinks behind a bar, locked out of their mind wandering round the village, scanning my shopping, getting arrested or standing outside the pub every day at 11am.

and i laugh a little inside, every single time

I moved away from the area I grew up in so don't meet any of my classmates that often, but when I do I find that guys are okay but the girla are all a bit full of it (I'm female myself btw). What really annoyed me though was that we all grew up together and went to the same small country school, but all the girls seemed to have developed a D4 accent despite the fact that a lot of them are still living in the same area! Meanwhile I've hung onto my culchie accent despite not living there anymore.

Most of my close friends are mates from my school days, even though we've been in different places for a couple of years now.

and my own group of close friends are exactly the same, fun loving easy going and alway up for some good times, only difference from school is we are all now working and planning for the future while still having fun like the good oul days!

Well i'm probably one of the guys you were on about who changed. In school i was shy and uncomfortable because it seemed the rest of the students in my rural school there were on a totally different wavelength to me. When I got to college i found people with similar interests and realised i wasn't so weird. I came out of my shell and became myself as opposed to the person i was in school who was afraid of showing their real personailty for fear of ridicule.

I'm one of the ones in my class who had a radical overhall. Most ended up either in prison, dead or with kids by now though, mind you I only left in 2007!!!
