They are all great deals in fairness, the 6700 is a lovely dumb-phone as regard to design and build quality. The 5230 for less than 40€ is a serious deal

Cheers OP, ordered the 5230 for 39, my mother in law paid 99 in an 02 store last month for the same phone. Like you say, for the GPS alone its got to be worth it.

5230 is not a bad deal considering that you can have unlocking code from ebay for €30 (any cheaper options to get rid of sim lock from them?)

That must be a mistake on the site, you wont be able to unlock the 5230 for free. €20-€30 in an unlock shop would be the norm

I also flashed mine as a 5235 which allowed me to get a far newer firmware not sure if the 5230 firmware has caught up yet. There are some pretty amazing custom firmwares available for it too.

I find ovi maps pretty unreliable four times it has tried to send me up a non existant slip road to an unconnected flyover, last time costing me about a 50 mile journey and two extra tolls. Also as they were too cheap to buy the proper secondary road info from OSI it tends to send you off accross bog roads around the midlands.

[edit]Just looked now in my unlock folder and the patch i was thinking of was for my sony ericsson[/edit]
