Would it be cheeky to ring and ask?

Hi all just looking for a bit of advice, Im currently a student and went for a job interview 3 weeks ago with a well renowned manufacturing company. It was a temporary job position which would do me fine for the summer but at the interview they said themselves that it would be from week to week and work wasnt gauranteed all the time but of course I was fine with that.

Anyway I was hoping to have heard back something by now and presumed the would have had the courtesy to at least send an email or letter informing me I hadnt got the job seeing as they short listed me for interviews. Would it be a bit cheeky to ring and ask? I was thinking maybe they just dont need the workers yet as they didnt seem to sure when the work would be coming up, but i dont want to come across as an arrogant so and so

I wouldnt consider that cheeky at all. In fact it shows that you're interested and enthusiastic about the job.

I got my last job by phoning a company I'd had an interview with a month and a half previously. As soon as I called they offered me the job.

Ring them, I imagine other folks interviewed have been ringing them :)

Ring, as they may be getting busy again: stops them from having to ring people :D Best of luck.
