I'm just wondering can anyone point me in the right direction for information regarding how to train and become qualified as a special needs assistant. Also does anyone know if it is a popular career choice or are there many vacancies in the area.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Regards ILOC

I presume you refer to Special Needs Assistant in education ? I know scud all about the training or how to go about qualifying , etc , however I do know someone working in that area - she loves it but has been told that come June she probably will not have a job , apparently cutbacks will see a lot of these positions disappear.
