Thorntons Recycling: Do they actually recycle?

    Hi,
I just noticed that in my area Thorntons collect the Green and the Black bin in the same bin truck at the same time. Are they actually recycling it all or just dumping it all. Or do they then sort it out when they get it back. It seems quite pointless in having separate bins if they are going to just mix it all together.

It's possible that the waste is mixed in the same truck - waste separation processes are becoming increasingly sophisticated and people are often pretty crap at separating their own waste anyway. However, it's not uncommon these days for garbage trucks to have separate compartments for different types of waste.

They could be separating in back in there depo this would mean they are left with a low quality level or recyclable goods but then on avg. IRL quality of these goods is very low, this just means they cant sell the recyclable stuff for as much as if it was cleaner.
