Wow, that really is a great deal! That chip isn't the worst to be fair, only about a year old. Lose the bloatware and this laptop is totally fine for the standard pc user. Hdmi and Altec Lansing speakers too, not the worst perks to have in a sub 300€ laptop!

But the real question is can it play Crysis...?

Seriously though, great find OP. That would make a very nice laptop for most users since a lot of people generally use computers to browse the web, Skype, use Microsoft Office etc.

When BF3 comes out you'll be rephrasing that question. ;)

Great deal. Depending on whether the memory is 2x1GB or one 2GB stick, it could be upgraded to 4GB relatively cheaply. Add Open Office (or better yet, MS Office at student prices) and it's a great little machine for students or basic users.

I wonder does the HDMI carry audio or just video?

HDMI Carries both audio and video, its a digital format.

Word of caution. While this is a great price, I find HP flatter to deceive. They advertise low price great specced computers that are not very reliable. Not something you want in a laptop which is likely to get a bit of abuse. So be aware that it may break rather quickly!

This looks to be gone.. No surprise really, that laptop for that price(Whatever people say about HP reliability :)) was never gonna last!

Er, that wasnt that good of a deal really, nothing to shout home about, plenty of much better deals on www.saveonlaptops.co.uk

Also HP laptops have the worst or second worst fail rate of any laptop make unfortunatly.
