    The gardai were stopping cars in town tonight ... they were checking tax/insurance disks or whatever they do ...
    One of my headlights blew earlier today (it's the truth, I swear :)) and I hadn't remedied to that ... :eek:
    I was expecting, in these difficult times when the government badly needs funds, to be told off and fined ... but noooo, I was simply waved on.

    To be very honest, I am not entirely unhappy ... I didn't get a fine. But, in all fairness, I should have and wouldn't have moaned about it as it'd have been deserved.

    I know the gardai are keeping busy with crimes and stuff, but they should be grasping opportunities on gathering as much € as they can.

    Rant over. :)

    I can only assume if they did fine you the rant would be what a bunch of wasters they are with nothing better to do etc.
