Just curious if anyone else has seen a G reg Chrysler 300 with alternating flashing fogs and rear lights like a cop car, though obviously not, on the m6 motorway?

    Why would anyone do this??

Why do you say its obviously not a cop car? I believe they use a 300c.

    In America maybe.

All cop cars here have 'D' plates, they're all registered to the Garda HQ in the Phoenix Park.

I believe there are many different levels of unmarked garda cars. To look for the D plate is kinda foolish nowadays.

Also another thread on here about a 300c unmarked car near kinnegad.

Completely wrong, I have seen many non D cars pulling people over.

It had a guy with a high vis jacket driving more like a builders than a gardai and it had a large 80's style camcorder mounted on dash.

    Microsoft's answer to streetview??!

Last I'd heard from a guard is that all cop cars are d reg. Maybe detectives or undercover or something might drive non d reg cars but I wouldn't be in a hurry to stop for anything but a d reg car and am sure you'd have to be a really bad driver for an unmarked unkitted out car to pull you. I live in Clare so d reg wouldn't be too common.
