Ata do a very light 28inch multichoke, its a copy of a beretta but is actually a good bit lighter then the beretta ultralite, it is a turkish gun but it looks to be very well made. They go for around 900. Trapper john does them in tulsk roscommon. What put me off was the lack of proof marks on the gun. I had an ultralite myself, lovely gun, if your going for a light gun then multichoke will make it a little nose heavy. Some people prefer this in a gun thats very light tho. Having a multichoke in a very light gun doesn't make sense as you wont be putting in tight chokes and shooting ducks as their too lite. If you can get an old winchester 101 xtr lightweight they are a beaut sorry I sold mine.

If its the weight thats the problem would you consider a 20bore? Thats what I am using and I haven't looked back since, I have a beretta silver pigeon which is nice and lite and slim but my favourite is a Benelli Woodcock 20 bore weighing in at 5.6 pounds, fecking lighting she is!

Was looking at a benelli montefeltro and the thing was about as heavy as a biro!!!.But i took a friends ceaser for a shot one evening and it just fit me straight away.I looked at a ultralight in a shop and it didn't come up as nicely.

I found the Beretta ultralight too light, it was far too giddy. NB Stay from those cheap berettas made under license. I saw one of those two weeks old not firing at the All ireland NaRGC last year pure JunK. The lanbers are a reasonably priced/Quality gun and not too heavy. (I have seen them giving problems also when used for heavy duty clay busting) they are fine for game. There is alot of low priced junk out there presently steer clear. You pay for what u get.
    Regards
    Raymo.

I won't be buying any of the cheaper makes as i will prob be keeping this gun for many years, the gun i have at the moment I've had for 14yrs and the next one i could keep for the rest of my days so want something nice and built to last.Anyone here know anything bout the fabarm guns,a lad told me they are a lovely gun but hard to mind as the timber is varnished and marks easy,he had a problem with firing the second shot if the gun wasn't tight to the shoulder.

Not up with the modern fabarms but I have one that was made in 1992 and its a lighweight. It is considerably lighter then a Beretta ultralite and imo a far superior gun to shoot. I didn't mention it earlier as they are hard to find and can often be found with a loose action as they were made from ergal alloy at a time when people didn't understand that they weren't designed to take fox rounds! I don't find much of a kick and I shoot 36g eley vip sixes thru it at times.
