    surley this VIP should have been offically welcomed by our president??
    when the queen comes she will be all over her like a rash
    or even the pope..

    I guess since he wouldnt allow Ireland pay anything to his visit,none of them usual money grabbing suspects wanted to be there.Due to the fact they couldnt write it off in their expenses.:rolleyes:

    Not sure what this has to do with the economy , my guess is that the visit was not given official status for fear of offending the Chinese. His last visit here the president met him in a private capacity and the chinese called the Irish ambassador in for a drressing down.
