My car failed the NCT for wear on the inside of the rear tyre. I'm getting 2 new tyres on saturday and was wondering what else I should get done.

Is it practical to get all wheels aligned or the tracking done while I'm in for a tyre fit?

What would be best suited to fix wear on the inner tyre?

When getting new tyres fitted your wheels will be balanced as part of the deal. Always a good idea to get the tracking done, usually costs about €80 for balancing on tracking on all four corners but should be less on top of the tyre fitting.

Preferably yes, but the fronts are where it counts most.

I've just done a google search and discovered that tracking and alignment are the same thing!!

So what would be causing a bit of wear on my inner rear? Would it be worn bushings?

Most likely, yes. But if you have a swingarm or one piece jobbie then it may well be bent and need replacement.
Or shim the hubs. Thats not done here in Ireland, only abroad from what i can see.
